Presidents Day Success

Bloxwich held our Presidents Day to coincide with the last junior training session before the Summer break.
All current and lots of old members were invited to attend and take part. These included walking hockey, a mixed game a BBQ and drinks back at the clubhouse.
First off in the morning was the junior training, led by Olympian Kali Takher, with games for our young Bears. This finished off a fantastic ten week training course, that has seen over fifty new youngsters attending on a weekly basis.
After the walking and mixed adult games, it was back to the clubhouse where our own Rev Bev said some beautiful words to remember our beloved president Tony Haywood.
Our new President Sharon Beck performed her first official duty and presented four Honorary Members with commemorative tankards.
With the formalities completed, the BBQ was opened as was the bar.
The weather held for us and a fabulous afternoon was had by all, showing the true welcoming family club that Bloxwich is.
