Tribute to former player

Posted by Julie Kempson on 10 March 2021

Paul Stanley who was in his early 90's, was a life member of the club during which time he had taken on several roles. He was a very keen sportsman, who played tennis as well as hockey.

A member for many years, he moved up North and continued to play hockey before moving back to the Midlands in the late 1980’s, where he played until he was 80 years old.

He was very much involved with running of the club, in umpiring , coaching the  youth team and the Colts in the early 90’s. He was also treasurer of the club for a number of years.

Paul was a gentleman who is fondly remembered and will be sadly missed.
